Male Green-crowned Brilliant Hummingbird (Heliodoxa jacula) pollinating Heliconia flower, Misty Cloud Forest, Costa Rica. This species of hummingbird likes to perch when feeding. In fact, some ecologists think that the elongated bracts of the  Heliconia may have co-evolved with the perching feeding behavior of certain hummingbird species.
