Ralph Hutchings Portfolio

Resin cast of the human cochlea and semicircular canals in the inner ear. The cochlea is a snail-shaped organ concerned with the sense of hearing. Inside the cochlea, sound wave vibrations are converted to nerve signals which are relayed to the brain. The three semicircular canals are fluid-filled chambers that are concerned with the sense of balance.
