Human kidneys. Resin cast showing the arterial blood vessels of the kidneys. The ureters and renal pelvis (yellow) drain urine away from the kidney to the bladder. The kidneys filter the blood and remove waste products into the urine. The entire volume of blood in the body passes through the kidneys approximately every five minutes. Note suprarenal artery.
